Family Reunions

Writen by Kristy Annely

A family reunion is the perfect occasion to connect with your family, your heritage and the old and new memories. It's a time to celebrate togetherness and love within the family. To make the memories of this day long-lasting in the hearts of all the family members, it becomes important to organize and plan the day with creative and innovative ideas.

First, the invitation sent to the whole family should be unique and innovative. For example, invitations could be sent on a family scarp book, with the pictures of the whole family from the oldest to the youngest, a personalized message, and the date, time and venue for the event. You can also create an invitation based on the theme or location of the day. Then, while choosing the locale for the event, the convenience and comfort of all should be kept in mind. Planning some fun family games, in which the whole gang can participate and enjoy, can be a good idea. Make sure that you plan games in which the young and old can participate together.

Organizing a talent show can be a good form of entertainment. You can divide the family members into different teams, and then ask them to play or create a specific act, like a skit or a replay of some old family event. You can also plan to organize the reunion party based on some theme, and all the family members should be asked to dress up as per the theme. For example, taking a theme of unity, you can get t-shirts designed for all, and then the whole family meets wearing the same t-shirt. To make the day memorable, a flow of good food is a priority. While deciding on the menu, the choices of all members should be considered. Thus, planning and organizing the day with love and creative ideas can certainly make your reunion an unforgettable event for the whole family.
