Need Some Fun Ideas For The Summer Season Try A Pool Party Bbq

Writen by Gail Leino

The hot season can get a little boring after a while and one way to help break the monotony is to throw a summer BBQ party for yourself, your family and your friends. In setting up a BBQ it never hurts to think about themes. What theme would you like? In an effort to stay cool many people combine their BBQ's with a pool or beach party.

In place of that you could create an Under the Sea BBQ, especially if you have little kids. All you'd need for the group to have fun at this party is a kiddy pool filled with water and sand and a lawn sprinkler, preferably far from the BBQ. You can also blow up some inflatable sea creatures and scatter them around the lawn or house for kids to play with and if you can get some seashells and driftwood to create a centerpiece on the buffet table where you'll be placing the food once it's grilled. Food for this party could be predominantly grilled seafood.

A Hawaiian BBQ can add an exotic flavor to your party. For food how about grilled pork and pineapple Kabobs. This is a party you can hold closer towards evening and make use of lighted tiki torches and decorative outdoor lighting. The tables can hold lighted citronella candles to help keep the bugs away. Invite everyone to wear a Hawaiian shirt and hand out Leis as party favors. Play Hawaiian music in the background and later on set up a good game of limbo. Just make sure the guests stretch a little to get limber for this activity.

In the end all you need for a good summer BBQ party theme is good imagination and creativity to help you set the atmosphere and lead your guests to have a great time.
